Interpreters that work for SLISA are carefully screened for certification and skill. We require interpreters to be certified by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and adhere to the Professional Code of Conduct. We also accept National Association of the Deaf (NAD) certified level 4 and 5. EIPA level 3 - 5 interpreters  are placed in appropriate educational assignments. Interpreters that are interested in working with us can email a resume, copy of certification and one of our staff will make an appointment for an interview.

SLISA has experienced interpreters that specialize in following various subjects.

  •  Medical - private physicians and hospitals.   These interpreters are HIPA trained and have TB/ health screening clearance.

  • Corporate - Computer technology and business trainings

  • Conferences - Technical and educational

  • Theatrical Interpreting

  • Legal - attorney client consultations, depositions

  • Educational settings - K- 12 , community college and university
